British Consulate talks about serious games

ANGILS, the UK’s Serious Gaming Trade Association has taken a lead role in the development and deepening of the skills cluster in the UK. ANGILS founding Chairman, Professor Robert Stone of Birmingham University, will be in Boston next week to meet with companies and discuss business development opportunities for New England companies.

The British Consulate invites you to join them on May 21st in Boston for an interactive conversation with Professor Robert Stone of Birmingham University UK and a panel of New England experts. Professor Stone will outline British innovation in Serious Gaming, and highlight his work with Surgeons, Defence / Nuclear industries, the evolving area of games used in healthcare training and widespread use of the gaming medium with innovative and progressive businesses.


* Kent Quirk of Cognitoy will discuss his work on a new Climate Change game
* Tom Hunter of Compass Rose Games will highlight his work on Diabetes training games
* Scot Osterweil of MIT’s Education Arcade will discuss the teams work in the K – 12 education sector.
