November Meeting

in Event announcements,Post Mortem

Our Boston Post Mortem for November is a special joint meeting between us and the Boston Audio Engineering Society. Boston AES is the local chapter of the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology, and we’d been meaning to do something with them for a while, so this meeting functions as both their monthly meeting and ours!

As such, our speaker will be Keith Zizza of Tilted Mill, who will be discussing the design, planning, and implementation of the audio engine for Children of the Nile, from both a technical and aesthetic perspective.

Brief speaker bio: Keith has been a professional audio designer since 1991, and has worked for more than 13 years exclusively in audio for video games, most recently as Audio Director for SimCity Societies (EA), Caesar IV (VU Games/Sierra), and Children of the Nile (Tilted Mill Entertainment). In all, Zizza has worked on more than 25 AAA titles for the PC platform. He has written audio articles for as well as developed game audio curriculum for The CDIA/Boston University and Berklee College of Music. Zizza is also a Gold member of the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).

The logistics:
Tuesday, November 11, 7PM
The Skellig, Waltham

Hope to see you all there!

I personally want to thank Keith Zizza for his presentation at the Skellig last night! I really enjoyed the information he presented, and the Children of the Nile game looks great!

Thank you again Keith, and hope to see you again soon! 🙂
