The MIT Enterprise Forum Interactive Entertainment SIG is holding a session called "Playing the Market – State of the Game Industry in Today’s Economic Climate".

The new state of the economy has many industries in flux and scrambling to make sure they survive for the long term. Though perhaps better set-up to weather the storm, reports of layoffs, studio closings and title postponements, the game and interactive entertainment industries are demonstrating that they are not immune. This session will address the volatile economy and its potential effects on the game and interactive entertainment industries, locally and throughout the world. Panelists will include a variety of perspectives with insight and advice on what we can expect from the next few years and how best to manage. If you are just starting out with two employees and a vision or if you are an established market player looking to ensure the long term, you cannot miss this session.

Moderator:

Michael Cai, Parks Associates
