Last week, Penny Arcade announced the games to be featured in the PAX 10 showcase, and it looks like two games with ties to the Boston area were chosen for the honor.

Fieldrunners is the hit iPhone tower-defense game made by Subatomic Studios. One of the lead developers, Jamie Gotch, is a local dev who gave a talk at our March Post Mortem.

Carneyvale: Showtime is a "vertical ragdoll platform game" for Xbox Live Community Games. It was developed by the Singapore half of the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab, though the MIT team played a supporting role after the game was released. For more info, see this article on Carneyvale‘s development history. see this  You might remember the GAMBIT lab from the showcase of their games they presented at our February Post Mortem.

So congrats to the Fieldrunners and Carneyvale teams, as well as all the PAX 10 finalists!
