The September Boston Post Mortem will be held at a different location than usual, the UK Trade & Investment office at the British Consulate in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, whose mission in the US is to help US companies do business with UK-based companies. In addition to sponsoring the space, they’ll be providing light refreshments as well (you’ll probably want to eat dinner beforehand).

Because of the location, you MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND: http://postmortem0910.eventbrite.com/ Registration is free, but we’re limited in our capacity at the venue, so please only register if you know you can make it.

Our speakers will be Darren Torpey and Darius Kazemi, who will be discussing HTML5 game development, focusing on the open-source Akihabara framework but also covering other available HTML5 game engines and general advances in HTML5/Javascript.

Logistics:
Tue, September 14th
7pm @ UKTI, Kendall Square, Cambridge
Directions to Kendall Square (the Consulate is located at One Broadway, on the corner where Main St & Broadway merge)
You’ll be directed by security to the suite number after you sign in at the security desk.

P.S. As the local IGDA chapter, we’re participating in a chapter membership drive! If you love the Boston Post Mortem, please consider joining the IGDA and listing us as “Boston” under the “Chapter Recruited By” field. If we recruit the largest number of members, the IGDA will fly a VIP game developer (exactly who TBD) to our chapter to speak! In addition to helping us win the drive, there are myriad other reasons to join, explained on our new Join page.
