Directions:

The Skellig is in downtown Waltham, on 240 Moody Street at the corner of Crescent Street. It is two blocks from a commuter rail stop, on several bus lines, and near several parking lots. Best bet is to turn up Crescent St and park behind the theatre.

by bus

The Moody Street area is served by a variety of MBTA bus lines: 70, 70A, 170, 505, 553, 554, 556, and 558. For detailed information, go here and select “Waltham” from the second menu.

by commuter train

The Waltham stop of the commuter rail’s Fitchburg Line is on Moody Street about two blocks from the restaurant. Outbound choices include a train which leaves North Station at 6:15pm and arrives in Waltham at 6:38pm, and a train which leaves at 7:35 and arrives at 7:58. Inbound choices include a train which leaves Waltham at 9:25pm and arrives at North Station at 9:48pm, and a train which leaves at 11:26 and arrives at 11:46. by car

From the Route 128 area or other points west, take Route 128 to Route 20. Exit onto Route 20 East. (This is also called Main Street.) Go about 1.5 or 2 miles, and turn right onto Moody Street. There’s a 10-story or so bank office building on the corner of Main and Moody which is hard to miss – it’s the tallest building around.

From the Boston environs, take Route 20 West through Watertown Square and into Waltham Center. Just past the Waltham City Hall and City Green, turn left onto Moody Street. There’s a 10-story or so bank office building on the corner of Main and Moody which is hard to miss – it’s the tallest building around.

Once on Moody Street, parking is conveniently located behind the theatre when entering at Pine and Cooper Streets, just east of Moody Street. Operated by the city of Waltham, the lot is free after 6 PM daily and all day Sunday and City Holidays. Take Pine Street East from Moody. Cooper St. is on your left a little after the cinema. Park at the far end of the garage, (which is free!) top or bottom level, and you can walk right across to the back door of the Skellig. Of course, you’ll have to enter through the front door.
