Description:

This position will act as a key liason between HitPoint's game development teams and HitPoint's backend game service technology platform. In this position your key goal will be to provide both software development support and system administration support to game projects as they transition from their development stages to their live stages.

Our titles require the support of highly available, redundant server architectures that can maintain high performance and availability during peak load periods.

Responsibilities:

- Provision and support development, staging and production application environments. Uing Linux servers, MySql and Tomcat based services.

- Develop title-specific, Server-Side Features in collaboration with the development team within Tomcat, using Hibernate, Spring and other java technologies based on the spec & production schedule for products in development.

- Launching, Maintaining and administering Backend services for live products including webservices, caching and databases.

- Overseeing live services and managing needs for scaling, reporting & stability to insure premium quality of service.

- Evaluate software, hardware , services, vendors as needed.
- Contribute to the overall server software and systems strategy.
- Respond to and troubleshoot system outages or server side bugs.
- Implement public, private and hybrid architectures.

Experience
- 3 + years experience developing software & maintaining services for enterprise online services .

- Experience working with web APIs and Rest services such as: Facebook , GraphAPI, Twitter, etc...

- Experience with supporting Continuous Delivery development pipelines
- Automation of serer builds and/or envirionments
- Java app server framework configuration and tool experience (Tomcat, Maven, Nexus, Team City, etc...)
- Rackspace Administration for spinning up new webserververs.
- Akamai Cloud CDN Service Administration
