Mobile Game QA Lead
The QA Lead is responsible for daily and long term QA planning and testing. The QA Lead manages 1-2 team members, leads all game tests and verifications, works to continually improve QA processes and work-flows in order to assure the highest quality builds.

Candidate Requirements

  • Loves games.
  • Professional experience performing game QA. Need not have experience as a lead, but must demonstrate readiness to lead.
  • Able to crunch when needed.
  • Local to greater Boston area.

Responsibilities

  • 60% – Testing verification and test case creation and maintenance
  • 15% – Manage and mentor team members
  • 10% – Manage bug tracking database
  • 10% – On-going requirements gathering and communication with development teams
  • 5% – Review all work to ensure ongoing improvement in standards, workflows and procedures
  • Communicate directly with team members
  • May work with other departments to provide marketing or customer service support
  • Create product specific test plan and test cases in accordance with Studio test plan.
  • Set up and manage configuration and access to bug tracking database.
  • Be responsible for test environment and equipment, including build access and distribution.

Knowledge

  • Experience as a game QA tester.
 Experienced with Agile and JIRA software
  • Competencies: Excellent written/verbal/presentation skills; knowledge of Word, Bug Tracking software. Ability to multi-task effectively; attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Education
Bachelors degree in related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalency required.

Experience
2+ years QA experience in the gaming software development field.
