freelance Product Consultant - Gaming

at Affectiva in Waltham, MA

Affectiva is looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and energetic Product Consultant who will take on a 6-month consulting engagement to define and execute Affectiva’s entry in the Gaming market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Affectiva’s product and go to market strategy in Gaming, focused on increasing revenue for Affectiva’s portfolio of emotion-sensing tools including cross platform SDKs and data API’s.
  • Fine tune Affectiva’s value prop, define the uses cases, size the segments and determine addressable market opportunity.
  • Identify and approach target gaming customers and strategic partners across the vast Gaming landscape.
  • Create and execute product roadmap for gaming, in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Collaborate with internal product and support teams on product requirements, packaging, pricing and client success. Establish, maintain, and grow a community of gaming developers interested in building uniquely engaging experiences for their users with our emotion-sensing SDK.
  • Nurture customer relationships, ensuring pilot projects and integrations drive quantifiable results in a timely fashion. Attend, speak and demo at key industry events, articulating our value prop with ease, clarity and confidence to the gaming community.
  • Develop and manage a business development pipeline for new strategic revenue opportunities. Collaborate with marketing on messaging, positioning, marketing assets, events, press and speaking engagements. Travel to meet potential customers, partners and prospects, when necessary.
  • Evangelize and educate within the company on the Gaming market.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product management and/or program management of game developer tools or games.
  • Adept at developing business relationships at the Executive level, yet comfortable engaging in technical discussions with game developers and producers.
  • Well-connected in the Gaming industry with a deep understanding of the landscape, the key players and their business needs and challenges.
  • Results focused with a proven track record of success, as you will be required to deliver results immediately.
  • Fast learner, who applies creative and unconventional solutions to new and complex problems. Comfortable managing a high volume of engagements and adapting to rapid change.
  • Visionary and evangelist with the ability to lead change.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Excited about succeeding in fast paced start-up environment. B.A/B.S in related field.
