Position Summary

GSN Digital is looking for an experienced Manager of Quality Assurance to lead our Waltham-based Quality Assurance Team.

Reporting to the Vice President of Technology Operations, the Manager of Quality Assurance will lead a team of quality engineers, web and game testers and be responsible to continuously enhance our existing testing and QA methodology to ensure our products meet or exceed business and customer expectations.

We are looking for an experienced leader eager to be part of the fun and excitement of the rapidly growing online games and entertainment industry.

Primary Responsibilities
• Hire, train and develop a team of quality assurance professionals to support the organizations commitment to quality
• Enhance process with bug tracking, quality metrics and reporting,
• Build or improve test suites and automated testing
• Act as primary contact/liaison with outsourced partners
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technology aligned with business objectives and enabling the QA organization to meet QA goals
• Work effectively with co-workers, customers and others in the organization by sharing requirements, options, and testing results in a clear, constructive and positive manner
• Continuously enhance and manage quality assurance programs align with corporate QA goals and industry standards
• Write code and program testing protocols and plans
• Able to perform testing and willing to roll up sleeves to assist team when necessary
• Work with a high degree of independence on projects to resolve complex problems
• Continuously enhance process to ensure clear communication to the organization on work progress, timetables and issues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
• Must be current and knowledgeable in quality assurance methodologies, technologies, and industry best practices as well as web and infrastructure technologies
o Specifically Agile Methodologies and Test Driven Development
• QA test development experience
• QA of web services and infrastructure experience
• Experience with Performance and Load test industry standard tools required (I.E. Neoload, LoadRunner, Silk Performer).
• Experience with industry standard test automation tools required (I.E. QuickTest Pro, SilkTest).
• Experience with API level test automation preferred.
• Database Knowledge required MSSQL, Informix is a plus
• Must possess strong leadership, communication and process management skills
o 3-4 years of team leadership and management experience
• BS in Computer Science or related field, 8-10 years software development or quality assurance in web services, online entertainment, or ecommerce
• Experience with Linux, Informix, Perl, HTML, XML, Jira, SVN preferred
• Experience with game testing is preferred but not a requirement

This role is based in our Waltham office.
