Lab Instructor
at Northeastern University in Boston, MA
Northeastern University is looking for someone to teach three 1-hour and 40 minute labs per week, to support the "Games and Society" class taught by Brian (Age of Empires / Titan Quest) Sullivan. For Fall semester 2011: September through December. This is a Freshman class, and the lab instructor mainly needs a knowledge of video game consoles (not programming, the games and setting up the consoles themselves) and some easy to learn board/card games. During the lab, students will break into groups and play a board or video game. Discussion of the game and the week’s topic takes place at the end of the lab. Each lab is capped at 25 students.
We also need someone to help grade papers for the class. We expect there to be 50+ students in the class. There are 4 essays and two multiple-choice tests to grade per term. Looking for someone with a good knowledge of games and good writing/editing skills.
Ideally, we would like the same person to teach the labs and grade the papers. Interested in someone with a passion for, and diverse knowledge of, board and video games. Please include your resume with your response.
