Graphics Programmer

VT MÄK, a company of VT Systems Inc. located in Cambridge, Mass., is a leader in producing software tools for distributed simulation. We create tools and toolkits for distributed simulations, develop PC-based military tactical trainers, craft custom solutions, and research and develop the latest simulation technologies. VT MÄK is rapidly growing its engineering and operational staff and has an immediate opportunity for a collaborative, hard-working Graphics Programmer. The Graphics Programmer is responsible for assisting in designing, building and maintaining our 3D visualization software products.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
•Assist in designing, building and maintaining 3D visualization products
•Understand requirements used to design and implement product features in our high performance 3D visual system
•Utilize C++ to develop software
•Participate in collaborative design sessions
•Provide support to clients on software and various products when needed
•Represent MAK in a professional manner at partner or client sites, standards organizations and conferences
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
•Strong OpenGL experience
•Experience with modern graphics (GPU) pipelines and techniques
•Knowledge of shader languages (GLSL, Cg or HLSL)
•Strong C++ skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work well within in a team as well as independently
•Strong work ethic
•Ability to obtain a security clearance
•Background in one or more of the following is a plus: Object Oriented Design Skills; Design and support of commercial C++ Software Development Kits; Qt-based GUI development; Defense contractor or military experience
