full time Animator Instructor

at Worcester Polytechnic Institute Interactive Media & Game Development in Worcester, MA

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the #6-rated game development program
in the US by the Princeton Review, located in Worcester Massachusetts,
is seeking experienced animators to instruct courses in our
Interactive Media and Game Development program. We are looking for an
instructor to teach a seven-week courses in 3D animation, starting
October 25th.

Ideal candidates should have experience as an animator with the
following qualifications:

  • Strong character animation skills
  • Experience with MAYA
  • Willingness to provide individual guidance and instruction
  • Ability to demonstrate related concepts and techniques to a large
  • group (e.g. class of 25 students)
  • Understanding of the game development process as it relates to animation
  • Personable and professional attitude

Additional qualifications not required, but desirable:

  • Experience working with motion capture data
  • Traditional animation experience
  • Industry experience with shipped/completed titles
