Lead Support Engineer

Description
The Platform team is looking for a Lead Support Engineer with a distributed server architecture development and online product support experience to lead 38 Studios’ Platform support team. A successful candidate will have good working knowledge of live server support and maintenance including debugging, profiling and performance tuning; good knowledge of multithreading, networking, security, and be able to work flexible hours in collaboration with Net Ops team to support 38 Studios Platform live operations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with development, operation and QA teams to ensure smooth on-time service deployments, trouble-free live operations, and quick resolution in production environments.
Troubleshoot configuration, operational and basic development issues.
Lead the support team.
Key contributor in service deployment process, including planning, deployment, and documentation.

Experience with eJabberd in production environment.
Experience with VMware in production environment.
Strong networking skills.
Strong Web server / service skills.
Understanding of Web security.
Experience
Completed degree in Computer Science.
At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
At least 4 years of experience of high-load production systems support.
At least 2 years of experience Leading a support team.
