Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

The Associate Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for performing all SQA activities on multiple concurrent projects dealing specifically with Turbine’s multiple Web-based initiatives, including social networking and Web 2.0 functionality related to online gaming. The SQA Engineer is responsible for running test plans and automation scripts, documenting test results, and overseeing bug reporting and resolution for all projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execution of software test plans and test cases.
• Documentation of test results.
• Software Quality Evaluation.
• All tiers of testing; manual, automated, front-end, back-end.
• Review of documentation and requirements, and writing of test plans and test cases/scenarios.
• Reporting bugs and tracking status through resolution.
• Keeping team leads or other stakeholders up to date on project status.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Familiarity with Web 2.0 and social networking technologies.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow testplans and take direction.
• Ability to pick up technical details and skills quickly.
• Familiarity with Drupal, vBulletin, and Facebook application integration a plus.
• Familiarity with PHP, XML, Java, HTML5.0, CSS, jQuery and/or Javascript a plus.
• Familiarity with using and/or creating scripts in Selenium, phpUnit and/or jMeter a plus.
• Familiarity with iPhone and Android Apps a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile Development and/or Scrum Methodology a plus.
• Gaming industry experience, especially MMOG experience.
• Experience with Web 2.0 technologies including social networking and wiki tools Features.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, particularly LAMP environments.
• Experience with SQL, especially MySQL Server.
