Art Lead/Director – We need a rock star who can not only do production work but can also push other artists above and beyond their A game. Candidates should be have extensive portfolios showcasing modeling/texturing or animation/rigging, or ideally both. They should also have strong concepting and design abilities. Most importantly they should be able to give pointed, meaningful feedback and help other artists to improve their work. We need someone with at least 5 years experience, and at least 1 year of that has to have been in a leadership role. We want to learn from you, so make sure you can teach us!

Other Fire Hose Games Openings:

Senior Programmer – We’re looking for a ninja who can more or less do anything. We’re talking game programming, tools, pipelines, and even low level engine work. Design and production sensibilities a huge plus. Ideal candidates will have worked in the games industry for a few years (at least 3-5) and have several shipped commercial console/PC/mobile games under their belt. If you aren’t 100% on C++ don’t even bother applying. Bonus points if you’ve done any work or exploration with Native Client.

Senior Designer – Ah, the designer position. The most coveted of jobs in the video games industry. Well, we have an opening! We need someone who can crunch the numbers, write the spreadsheets, design the systems, create the levels, and generally make our games fun, entertaining, and memorable. The position is less creative direction and more level design, but there’s a bit of both. Strong candidates will also have marketing, production, console, and/or microtransaction experience. DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE 3+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL GAME DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE AND HAVE SHIPPED AT LEAST TWO COMMERCIAL TITLES. WE WON’T RESPOND TO APPLICANTS WHO DON’T MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS. Sorry for putting this in caps, but we always get a million unqualified responses when we post a designer opening.

Senior Producer – Have you led entire game development teams from start to finish? Then we’d like to talk to you! We need someone who can corral a small (6-10) person team of highly talented developers and get a shipped project out the door. Bonus experience includes outsourcing knowledge/experience, design and/or marketing chops, microtransaction expertise, and biz/dev know-how. Oh, and we’ll need you to have had at least 3 years experience and have been directly (and solely) in charge of a team of 6+ people for an entire game.

QA Lead – This may come as a shock, but as a small studio we don’t have a QA team. MADNESS! We’re looking to fix that, and we want someone who can not only set up a bunch of QA systems but can lead other QA types as we bring them on board. If you are OCD, love testing games, know how to run focus testing sessions, are an incredible communicator, and always enter pristine bugs that exactly describe the issue and how to reproduce it then we definitely want to hear from you. 2+ years of QA experience required, bonus points if you’ve worked at different studios or an especially big or crazy one.
