The IT Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a fast growing and public facing social casual game. The role watches for alerts, researches problems, escalates when appropriate, and manages growth and upkeep of the live and development environments. The role is also responsible for coordinating and executing periodic deployments of new content and features to the live environment. The ideal candidate will take an active role in improving the efficiency and automation of deployments, and developing monitoring tools and dashboards to oversee the health and status of the live environment.

Qualifications:

• BS in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Server administration experience on Solaris and/or Linux systems
• Database server experience, MySQL preferred
• Web Server experience, Apache preferred
• Experience using SCM tools such as SVN, Ant, Trac
• Expert in creating Ant build scripts a plus
• Programming knowledge in Java, XML, AS3, PHP, Javascript a plus
• Experience with cloud computing providers such as Amazon EC2 or Joyent a plus

• Excellent communication skills and a team player
