Turbine, Inc. seeks an Integration Engineer – a talented and hard-working individual who is self-motivated, process-driven, customer-oriented, and who has a passion for support and integration of live applications using a variety of technologies. The position is a member of the Service Technology Integration team, a part of Turbine’s central technology department. This position will offer opportunities to work with all of Turbine’s products including Asheron’s Call®: Throne of Destiny™, Dungeons and Dragons Online® and The Lord of the Rings Online™ as well as with other WB Games Studios.

Leveraging existing Turbine technologies, the role of the Integration Engineer is to support and integrate Turbine’s “service experience.” The service experience includes everything the user interacts with outside of the game world, including installers, launchers, patchers, billing systems and various websites, as well as ancillary support systems used within in-game storefronts and by customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and integrate with various customer-facing applications related to Turbine’s service experience.
• Write extensions to Turbine’s core development framework.
• Provide feedback on the design and architectural details of service components as needed.
• Self-manage when given prioritized goals and objectives.
• Follow and contribute to established software development methodology and engineering practices.
• Participate in testing process through unit test development, test reviews, witnessing and analysis.
• Fix design and implementation level bugs and resolve issues as assigned.
• Document integration systems thoroughly, both in terms of design and implementation.
• Support EAS Development in deployment of new and updated systems into production.
• Troubleshoot and support live applications.
• Support WB Game Studios integrating with Turbine’s service experience.
• Travel to WB Game Studios as necessary.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degrees (or above) in CS, Engineering, or a reasonable equivalent thereof.
• Minimal 2 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Minimal 1 years of professional C#/.NET or Java with strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Minimal 2 years experience supporting medium to large-scale software applications, with load balancing.
• Minimal 1 years of experience with SQL (MySQL, MS-SQL, Oracle).
• Minimal 1 year Professional C/C++ experience.
• Familiarity with the following: Web Services (SOAP), Agile and test driven development, Open source development community, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP.
• Experience with and general knowledge of enterprise software deployment.
• Experience with any of the following: e-Commerce, network security, shell-scripting, XML-RPC, installers, Single Sign-on, and security.
• Familiarity with Development on Console Platforms a plus.
• Knowledge of and passion for games and the communities around them.
