Subatomic Studios, the award-winning independent developer of Fieldrunners and Tinkerbox, is currently seeking an experienced QA tester to join us for an exciting unannounced project. This position is a full-time contract for a mid-level QA tester. We’re looking for candidates who are organized and able to work independently, and who can switch projects quickly and effortlessly. As a small studio, communicating directly with developers will be an integral part of this position, so an understanding of the various moving parts of game development and the ability to discuss them are must-have skills for any candidate.

Requirements:
-1+ year’s QA experience working at a professional game development studio
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Proficiency in OpenOffice.org and Google Docs
-Familiarity with all aspects of game development

Preferred:
-A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
-Familiarity with scripting or automated testing software
-Leadership experience in a QA position
-Working experience with current-generation consoles and first-party certification
-Working experience with mobile or handheld development
-Professional experience in an agile environment
-Experience creating and maintaining test plans
-Experience shipping commercial titles
